Meet Tom Butler-Bowdon

Episode

Tom Butler-Bowdon

Hi! Tom here @tombutlerbowdon co-host of Book Insights along with Karin @yaykarin

Here I am about to record another episode of our chatty “Book Lounge” episode, where we interview a knowledgeable guest about the nonfiction Book of the Week.

Co-host of Book Insights

As Memo'd is all about sharing succinct knowledge, here are a few fast facts about me:

*I podcast from that leafy knowledge vortex known as Oxford in the UK, while Karin records from the San Francisco Bay Area.

*As author of the 8-volume “50 Classics” book series (750k+ copies sold in 25 languages), I’ve read and summarized hundreds of the greatest nonfiction books covering psychology, philosophy, economics, politics, business and motivation.

*Personal fave books/authors: Business - “Titan” on John D Rockefeller. Philosophy - “Beyond Good and Evil” by Nietzsche. Psychology - anything by Jung. Self-Help - Dale Carnegie, “How To Win Friends & Influence People”

*Current bedside reading: Two books on Buddhism and Orlando Figes’ history of the Russian Revolution. Started the latter a year ago and still only three quarters way through. So yeah, not a speed reader :)

*An Aussie by birth (did you pick the accent?), I’ve lived in the UK for 15 years.

Questions welcome! And let me know YOUR favorite books that you’d like to see us cover on Book Insights and Book Lounge.
